Find video games that feel right for your child.
SensorySafeGames is a free, calm guide for parents of autistic, ADHD and sensory-sensitive kids. We look at what can overwhelm a child: flashing lights, sudden loud sounds, timers, losing, and scary surprises. Then we explain it in plain language so you can choose with confidence.
New guide
Best calm Nintendo Switch games for autistic kids: our first picks, with the settings to change before your child plays.
Our mission
Every child deserves to enjoy play without being overwhelmed. Age ratings tell you about content, but not about sensory load. We want to fill that gap with honest, sourced information, written for busy parents.
We’re just getting started. Our first 10 games are rated, with every score reviewed by a parent and linked to its source. The other games show what we plan to check. Please preview games yourself too.
What we look at
Sights
Flashing, bright effects, fast camera movement.
Sounds
Sudden loud noises, and whether you can turn volumes down separately.
Pressure
Timers, losing, difficulty spikes, competition with strangers.
Comfort
Scary moments, reading load, and how easy it is to stop and save.
