About SensorySafeGames
We’re building the guide we wish existed: a calm, honest place to check whether a video game will feel comfortable for a child with sensory sensitivities.
Why we exist
Age ratings and content reviews tell you about violence or language. They don’t tell you whether a game has sudden loud sounds, flashing effects, countdown timers, or a “game over” screen that might upset your child. Parents tell us those are often the things that matter most.
What we promise
- No made-up scores. A game shows “Not yet reviewed” until a person has checked it.
- Sources for every claim. We link to where our information comes from.
- Plain language. Short, clear notes for busy parents.
- Free for families. Some store links may earn us a small commission. That never changes a score.
Not medical advice
Every child is different, and you know yours best. This site is a guide to help you choose. It is not a therapy or diagnosis tool.
How we use helpers
We use software helpers to gather facts from public sources, like store pages and accessibility reviews, and to flag games that need a second look after updates. A person reviews every score before it is published.
